Bikaner Abhayindia.com A meeting was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Dr. Neeraj K. Pavan to review pending letters regarding the installation of idols in various public places in Bikaner, the naming of roads, three-way streets and intersections. At the meeting, Dr. Neeraj K. Pavan said that in cases involving the selection of a site for placing idols in public places, a site should be selected soon.

At the meeting, it was decided to name the road from the museum to the public park gate after Captain Chandra Chowdhary. The Divisional Commissioner said that the meeting had agreed in principle to the selection of the PWD site for the establishment of the Valmiki Circle on behalf of Rishi Valmiki. Instructions were given for the erection of a statue of Bhagat Singh in the Bhagat Singh Park located in Jai Narayan Vyas Colony. Similarly, instructions were given to set up a statue of Savitribai Phule, to designate a site for the statue of Lieutenant General Sagat Singh and Lieutenant General Hanut Singh. At the meeting, it was decided to erect a monument to Major James Thomas at the intersection of Chunilal Park.

The divisional commissar instructed the Circle of the Martyr Rafik Sameji to begin work in the near future. It was also decided to name the park in Shastri Nagar after the freedom fighter Hiralal Sharma under the Nagnechi scheme. The meeting was attended by the additional commissioner of the department A. H. Gauri, the chief executive officer Zilla Parishad Nitya K., the additional district collector (administration) Omprakash, the secretary of the urban development fund Yashpal Ahuja, the chief engineer-engineer with a disability Mukesh Gupta and representatives of the relevant departments.
