Bikaner Abhayindia.com Jodhpur Discom has extended the deadline for the amnesty program for the immediate disposal of old VCRs until September 30 this year. Under this scheme, cases of old BKESL VCRs are also resolved in the city of Bikaner. BKESL COO Jayant Rai Chowdhary said that under the amnesty scheme, pending VCRs are being fully disposed of by December 31, 2022. To do this, consumers can contact the Consumer Complaints Center located in the Public Park.
Chowdhary said all pending cases are under investigation. Measures are being taken against those consumers who are involved in the theft of electricity. In such cases, the FIR is also filed with the Electricity Theft Prevention Police Station.
Chaudhary said that under the scheme, 40 percent of the statutory liability amount and 25 percent of the interest charge must be paid for VCRs up to one lakh. In the case of a VCR in excess of one lakh, the statutory liability will be 40 percent up to one lakh, and upon depositing 10 percent and the full amount of interest accruing over one lakh, the VCR case will be dismissed.
He said that this scheme would not apply in cases where the challan was presented in court. In such a case, the case was brought to court on behalf of the consumer, in such cases the benefit of this scheme will be available if the case is withdrawn from the court. Consumers can take advantage of this scheme in cases that have already been determined by the Income Evaluation Committee at the circle level, but the amount has not yet been deposited.
