Jaipur Abhayindia.com Medicine and Health Minister Parsadi Lal Mina said in Vidhan Sabha on Monday that disciplinary action is being taken against officials responsible for not using medical mobile vans in the Alwar constituency. He said he took action against the service provider firm for not providing services in accordance with the terms of the contract, payment was stopped by terminating the contract.
Mina said the contract was signed with another firm to ensure the regular operation of the medical mobile vans. This firm will provide free medical services from today or tomorrow. He said that, apart from the van, all worries about the medical staff, drivers, medicines, etc. will also be taken over by the new firm.
Responding to additional questions posed by members in this regard during the Question Hour, the Minister of Health said that in the course of an investigation into complaints about the inoperability of medical mobile vans operated by the National Health Mission over the past two months, it was found that the then Chief Medical Officer and Sanitary Officer Alvar was held accountable. Following action by the department, he was immediately removed from office and the notification process is in progress. He said that while taking action against the service provider firm, the three crores payment to the firm was stopped.
Earlier in a written response to Sanjay Sharma’s original MLA question, the Minister of Health and Health stated that the mobile medical van has not been physically operational since December 2022 as part of the National Health Mission in the Alwar Constituency. He said that based on the news published in the newspapers, the necessary measures are being taken against the relevant service provider through the establishment of a commission of inquiry.
The Minister of Health and Health stated that Alwar, then Chief Medical Officer and Health Officer, had been given a notice of good cause for failing to comply with supervisory duties. He said that disciplinary action was in progress in this regard and that the contract with the relevant service provider had been terminated.
