The chapter commissioner gave these instructions Thursday at a meeting with officials from concerned agencies, including the City Development Trust, Corporation, PWD.
He said that the responsibility for ensuring road safety lies with the administration, the departments concerned should understand their responsibility and send employees to the site to carry out inspection, repair and other necessary actions. There are complaints about road failures due to water on the road, so it is necessary to ensure the treatment of wastewater. The corporation and the urban development trust, in coordination with each other, should ensure that wherever there are potholes, they are repaired with quick effect. When conducting a survey of a corporate sewer chamber, the process of covering open chambers must also be completed as soon as possible. If any incident occurs, strict measures will be taken against the perpetrators. Corporations should pay special attention to the treatment of drains during the rainy season. During the rainy season, without the permission of the administration, not a single department will be engaged in earthworks. The meeting was attended by additional department commissioner A. H.
