Jaipur Abhayindia.com From May 16, 2023 to July 15, 2023, a special campaign was launched at the national level to prevent bogus GST registration and bogus ITC in the state. To date, 1,380 suspect registered dealers have been circulated through GSTN/DGARM, and 237 have been identified locally. Out of a total of 1,617 GST numbers, 1,606 were verified, of which 290 dealers were found to be unverified. Of these unverified firms, ITC of 21,330.68 lakhs is likely involved. The ITC of 2620.76 lakh has been blocked by the department so far.
We inform you that actions against fictitious / non-existent firms have already been initiated by the department. Ravi Kumar Surpour, Chief Commissioner of the Rajasthan Department of Commercial Taxation, said the campaign had achieved an unprecedented achievement in stopping the continuous leakage of fake firms’ revenues.
