Sudhi Rajeev said that in addition to launching many new courses at the university from the 2023-24 session, existing courses have been prepared in line with the National Education Policy 2020. It is now possible to enroll in the 4-year BSc Honors (Media Studies) course along with the 3-year BSc in Journalism and Mass Communication (BA-JMC). After this course, students will be able to obtain a master’s degree within one year, and students who have a higher education diploma from various universities and institutions in the country will be able to obtain a master’s degree within one year. In addition, two-year postgraduate courses such as MA (media studies), MA (electronic media), MA (advertising and public relations), MA (new media) and MA (development communications) can be applied for.
In addition, one can also apply for self-funded PG Diploma courses such as the PG Diploma in Public Health and Mass Communications, the PG Diploma in Desktop Publishing, the PG Diploma in Photography, and the PG Diploma in Radio Journalism.
The Vice Chancellor said the courses were designed with the skills development and employment potential of young people in mind. Courses such as artificial intelligence and public health were also included. He said that full information and application forms are available on the website of the university (hju.ac.in).
